My son and I stopped in on the way back home from Orlando. We went to look at the dogs but also looked at the cats, We ended up adopting this special little guy, we really weren't looking to adopt but he stole our hearts at first sight. ❤️ He has no tail and a unique personality! Besides for giving us a new family member, they were very friendly. It was very clean and the adoption process was really easy! They even gave us a little bag with a blanket, toys, and treats! 🐈 😺 They even called me yesterday to check and see how everything was going and said if I needed anything to call them anytime. 💙🐈⬛🐈 Also, They have a little section in the front with a good selection of random brand new pet supplies. The prices are really unbelievably low compared to the pet stores, It is definitely worth stopping by if you need anything for your pet, it's kind of random stuff but they did have a good selection of harnesses/leashes/clothes/dog boots/toys. They even had supplies for fish tanks. Thank you for all you all do for the animals!! 💜💜🐈⬛🐈
I have been to Seminole County Animal Services a few times now and I have always had such an amazing experience. The staff really cares about you and the pets, and are always excited to assist and give you information. A couple of weeks ago I found the sweetest, most loving cat and was lucky enough to be able to adopt her and give her a forever home. Tootsie is the cuddliest cat and I’m so happy to have her as my best friend. Thanks everyone that made this possible for me and Tootsie!
I adopted 2 cats from the shelter. The staff was very supportive and caring about the animals. The doctor even gave me medication for them because they had contracted a virus. I continue to donate to them because they are doing a very important service for providing care to these defenseless creatures.
Had a wonderful experience here from start to finish. Visited on a Saturday between their adoption hours and while it was very busy, I was still able to be assisted and an ACO even made a perfect recommendation. I came back hours later and did another visit. The facility is clean and, again, very busy. Hours listed for opening are different than their allowable adoption hours; pay attention. The staff did the best they could to assist everyone without a long wait. I called 2 times to inquire about the dog I was interested and was given factual information. I went back again 2 days later, met with a volunteer trainer and another lovely ACO and was recognized at the front desk. I adopted our new dog in 15 minutes. Called a day later to express my thanks. Thank you to Sidney, Heather, and Mike. We adore our dog.
My sweet cat had an amazing 13yrs being spoiled and loved. When he was diagnosed with stomach cancer and intestinal cancer, I knew that I would take care of him, no matter what till the end as long as he wasn’t suffering. Unfortunately, a week ago, his health took a drastic turn for the worst. My vet was charging $400 to euthanize and dispose body. Hey dear friend of mine referred me to the shelter. I contacted them and it was $15 to euthanize $25 total to include disposal. The thing is they require you to your pet. You cannot be with your pet when they’re euthanized the thought of this horrified me.. My cat was pretty much asleep when I took them there I handed him over to the technician who explained to me that they would give him a sedative first, it would take a few minutes to relax him and put him to sleep, they would give him a second injection to euthanize him peacefully. Everyone was so kind. I decided I wanted to bring his body back home with me to bury on my property. He looked peaceful when they brought him back to my car in his favorite blanket.
