We had such a great experience working with Joe. He helped our chocolate lab Hazel learn so many new skills and helped her gain confidence through socialization. I would highly recommend Joe to anyone with a new pup who’s considering training (it’s worth it)!! We practiced new skills with Joe at each session so we can continue training at home in between sessions. Could not recommend this experience enough! We’re even able to walk her off leash on hikes now (hooray!).
We were recommended to seek our training with Joe by a friend and we couldn’t be happier. We adopted Rocket, a shepherd/malinois mix a few months ago and while she is an amazing dog we knew this breed would need a lot of attention. Joe worked with her over a 2 week stay and train period (with 2 night back home in between). He even had her over during the thanksgiving break while his parents were visiting him. Rocket is well on the way to being the best girl ever. She is calmer around people, confident with other dogs, walks on a long leash like a dream and has an arsenal of commands for us to build upon. Joe takes his work very seriously, he’s passionate and takes all the time you need to talk through his process, answer questions and make you feel at ease. He sent us more pictures and videos during our trip than we could have ever expected and we now have a serious library of video and instructions to continue our training with Rocket. He has a strict stress free and reward based training which we love, no prong collars or shock collars at all. He even came to our house in the middle of training to meet the family, and help in our home environment. I wouldn’t recommend anyone else for any kind of dog training.
Highly recommended dog trainer for those with behavioral issues. Our small pups would bark at everything. Now they’re much calmer, able to interact around cars, people, bikes and be an active part of the world. While the investment was more than just training we changed their food habits, walking habits, training habits and everything about their treats and reward system for them to feel comfortable and live their best lives. If you’re looking to make an investment not just for your dogs but for your house Joe is very talented, skilled and knowledgeable at what he does.
I can’t thank Joe enough for everything he’s done to help with my puppy, Cleo! As a first-time puppy owner, I was completely overwhelmed with training tips and advice, but Joe made the whole process feel so manageable and fun. From the moment we started, he was patient, understanding, and really knew how to connect with Cleo. Joe walked me through all the essentials—potty training, crate training, and basic commands—but what really stood out was how he tailored everything to Cleo’s personality. He didn’t just teach her, he showed me how to build a strong bond with her, and that made all the difference. In just a few short weeks, Cleo has made amazing progress! She’s almost fully potty trained, she’s comfortable in her crate, and she’s already picking up commands like a pro. The best part? I feel so much more confident as a puppy parent, and my home is so much more peaceful. If you’re looking for a trainer who’s not just knowledgeable but truly passionate about dogs, Joe is the guy! He’s made this whole experience a game-changer for me and Cleo, and I honestly can’t recommend him enough. Thank you, Joe, for making puppy training such an awesome journey!
There are not enough words to explain how I feel about Bark Stop. From the minute my boy “Finn” met Joe, I felt the connection. Joe immediately assessed my boy issues.. and we immediately fell into a routine. My boy loves going to Bark Stop. We even bring his pack ( my daughter puppies), with him.. You can tell Joe “ loves” his work! 5 stars are just not enough
