I get small business and local support. I’m a huge advocate for such. However, when I bought a product here and found the exact same at another retailer for half the cost, I feel dubbed by a local company. Why wouldn’t a small business sell products that aren’t easily accessible in other retailers? More so, jacking the price up 50%? Small business can offset such costs by offering small business- up and coming company products…Offset costs by offering pet services? Downsizing? The consumer and business can both be at benefit. Most of much in this store can be bought online (or elsewhere) for reasonable, lower cost. Unfortunately, this is what happens when small ”appears”/ “tries” to be big or is struggling…at the very least, swindling their customer base. With so many retailers around and online, I’m saddened to see a local company mark up items like this. I know it’s not easy from a business standpoint, but having the customer pay double for a product isn’t necessarily the way to gain any support or make way for change and supporting local as a whole. The fundamental practice of charging 50% more for a product is distasteful- especially if the consumer doesn’t know better. (Which the company does.) Very- very disappointed.

I have purchased all my dog food @ PFW for about 25 years. I have only great thoughts & confidence with them. The owners are often on-site and very happy to help each customer. Always great Experiences!!!

Week after week, I eagerly looked forward to my visits to this store, where I had the pleasure of servicing their fish tanks for the past 8 months. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by the amazing people who work here, and their warmth and professionalism never ceased to impress me. The management and staff of this store operate with the utmost professionalism and provide grade A customer service. It's clear that their love and passion for animals extend beyond mere words; it shines through in every interaction I've witnessed. Their eagerness to assist every customer who walks through their doors is a testament to their dedication. For me, this place was more than just another stop on my service route; it was a place where I felt like part of an amazing team. I'll miss the warm communications and the opportunity to contribute to the care of their aquatic sections. To the staff here: Keep up the outstanding work! Your commitment and hard work do not go unrecognized.

I was stoked when I found this store. They carry so many different brands of cat foods/treats. I’ve shopped here about 10 times and majority of the time, I found the food was expired. My cat has been sick several times since I started shopping here and I don’t doubt that it’s from the expired food. Of course, I am part to blame for not checking expiration dates, but I’ve never had to do that anywhere else. I’ve spent so much money here and have had to throw out so much food because the employees don’t care enough to get rid of expired foods I brought some food back once for exchange for a fresher batch, as what I had expired A YEAR AGO and was told “don’t go by the date on the packaging. It’s FINE”

Friendly staff, owners are incredibly helpful and will even help carry things to your car if you need assistance. We always come here for our litter and they have a reward program where after so many bags you get one free. They have everything you would expect, pet food, a wide range of toys, including modular cat trees. They also run an adoption service like most places where you can visit with a cat who needs a home and adopt them. They mostly focus on cats and dogs, however I believe they also have food and supplies for other pets such as reptiles, birds, and fish. Overall it's a great place and I highly recommend stopping here before heading to one of the larger chains, especially if you have questions as a new pet owner and could use someone to talk to.
