Our sweet 7 year old Saint Bernard had stopped walking on her back paw. We thought it was due to possibly her hips. When we noticed it not getting better and swelling they were able to get us booked in fairly fast as a new patient. Dr. Crosby had X-rays done where we unfortunately found out it was bone cancer. They explained to us the pain she was in and gave us our options. I didn’t think I would lose my best friend so suddenly but the idea of her in so much pain I knew what needed to be done. The office staff was incredible. They took us to a private cozy room, gave us as much time as needed to spend as a family, gave us the step by step process, and helped guide us though one of our toughest moments as a family. My heart is broken but I am so appreciative of the care and time spent not only with our Leia girl but also our family. Thank you
We brought our precious Aussie to Dr. Rosiek to have cancerous mass removed. Couldn't have been happier with Toni as she facilitated our meeting with the most amazing, straight talking, sincere Veterinarian we have met in Florida... Dr. Rosiek. And when I came to pick up our baby, Carrie and Monica treated me like more than just a paying customer... I felt the love. Pretty rare since we came to the area 2 years ago.
This place is amazing! Our little Gizmowas so sad and miserable from his itchy skin. They not only had the best, most friendly way of handling him. But they also helped us with medecune that was donated. He was going insane from the itch he had. He was hiding and was acting so distant. He's still healing but the change has been far from subtle. Thank u so much to the staff and Dr. Stawinski for helping us get our baby back.
Unless you need routine, simple care, DON’T go to Pine Lakes Vets. My Maltese had a serious neurological problem . She was seen by one of the doctors and brought back and seen by another one. We have been going there four years. With X-rays they diagnosed knee issues — NOT. This delayed treatment over a week, and she became paralyzed. And they charged me almost $500 for this😩 St. Augustine emergency vets was great, though a long wait, and then we went to Capital Veterinary Specialists in Jacksonville. I HIGHLY recommend both if you have a serious problem. RESPONSE TO YOUR COMMENT: You diagnosed a knee problem and gave me a list of specialists, and I made an appointment with one. To make it worse, which I didn’t mention, the first “doctor” thought she had an ear infection😫 You prescribed an NSAID. HER KNEES WERE NOT THE PROBLEM. When she was paralyzed and seen by a competent doctor, her treatment was further delayed because of the NSAID she was on that you prescribed. The next time a dog collapses in your office, I suggest you not send them home on NSAID. My Gracie may never walk again because of delayed treatment. I just pray she lives. ***************************************** UPDATE ONE YEAR LATER From Xray two of the PL doctors diagnosed luxating patella, knees. Because of this, the disk ruptured before she got proper treatment. There was nothing wrong with her knees then or now. They were just incompetent. Only because of Capitol Vets specialty in Jacksonville and VOMC in St. Augustine and a year of my life devoted to her 24/7 and $10,000 and LOTS of prayers do i still have Gracie . Please just be wary of any serious situation you may have depending on their “expertise.”
When I realized my cat was very sick with a tooth & mouth issue, I was extra glad to hear the medical staff was experienced with this. It was comforting to me and my cat to have his issue addressed quickly and carefully. His improvement followed quickly after our first visit. I feel like everything went efficiently time wise as my biggest priority was expediting help for my cat and they certainly did that.
