I have been taking my dog to this clinic since I adopted him in 2021. The staff has been nothing short of informative & kind … even when they had to tell me my dog was a little too big (lol). Each visit is always very thorough & my dog benefits from any recommendation they provide. I recently had a scare due to a concerning red mark on my dog and they immediately took action. They had me send in the photos and within the hour I got a response from the doctor. I am extremely grateful for how quickly they got back to me & how they were able to ease my anxiety. I definitely recommend Shelton Vet!
Excellent equine care here . Great communication with Dr. Stephanie . She knows what you need & is just full of knowledge's. I’ve always enjoyed our visits and will continue my Senior horse care faithfully w Sheltons clinic .
If I could give this clinic zero stars I would. Don't trust them with any of your animals. I also need to apologize to anyone who took their animal to this clinic based on my old review (it used to be a great vet and in 2008 they saved my goat from circle disease.) Saw the decline in care since then but figured maybe I was being sensitive. When you bring up issues with your pet they don't address them. Easy excuses to just get you out the door. When I took my 7 month old dog in for a spay, we all figured pyometra wouldn't be an issue for her. Thanks to Dr. Stephanie and the fact that she left an ovary, my dog almost got put down. I have spent over 7 grand to save my dog. If your animal was spayed by Dr. Stephanie you may need to have a new vet check your animal and don't take easy excuses. If you think something is off with your animal, follow your instincts. Edit: in case someone thinks I avoided care and blames me. Postcard Shelton send me showing she was up to date on vaccine Edit: the postcard I received from Shelton just to prove I don't ignore any vaccines my animals need. Just in case someone didn't believe I was sent a postcard. Just didn't want my address posted on Google
I have had horses longer than Dr Stephanie has been alive and have used a number of equine vets depending on where we were at the time of need (horse show, boarding facility, workshop, etc). I find Dr Stephanie to be brave and compassionate ( I have a wicked rescued mare) as well as knowledgeable and reliable. She has a calm, pleasing manner that my horses respect and appreciate. We are lucky to have such a committed large animal vet here in this equine resource desert.
We have been going to the Shelton Vet clinic for several years . recently I took my contrary Kitty and they treated with love and tenderness. They are always that way. I highly recommend Shelton.
