Took our dog their Saturday (7/27) and sat for 3 hours, paid $809 to be told by the callused lady vet with the glasses that she may have cancer... She then wanted to do more test and rack the bill up to almost $1400 so "she could have a bigger picture" but we didn't trust her to know anything more after taking more of our money, so we took our dog Rosie home and made the heartbreaking decision to put her down. Fast forward to today, I get the MOST monotone call from an employee giving us condolences... I do not recommend taking your animals here. Not so "affordable" as their name implies, and the vet has no empathy for people who aren't made of money, and have thousands of dollars sitting around to let her perform every test know to man. Her judgemental looks are enough to make you want to slap her.... Disgusting
I recently scheduled an appointment for my puppy to be neutered at this clinic, but upon researching the location, I was struck by an overwhelming sense of dread. This was the same clinic where, four years ago, they neglected to treat my puppy, Aslan. Reflecting on my previous experience, I feel compelled to share the heartbreaking story, not just as a review, but as a cautionary tale for pet owners. Four years ago, I brought my sick puppy to this clinic, deeply concerned because he was vomiting, had bloody stools, and wasn’t eating. After taking his temperature, the veterinarian pulled out a thermometer covered in blood and visibly acknowledged it. When I mentioned that he had bloody stools, the vet merely shrugged it off and dismissed my concerns. Instead of conducting further tests or investigating potential causes, she advised me to purchase expensive prescription food—hundreds of dollars worth—without so much as considering a diagnosis. At the time, I had no idea that the symptoms I described were some of the most common signs of parvo virus, especially in a young puppy like mine. In hindsight, I now understand that this was a critical moment. Parvo is a deadly virus, particularly for puppies, and if the clinic had simply run a few more tests, Aslan’s condition could have been identified sooner. Instead, I was sent home with a dying dog, with no further guidance or follow-up care. A couple of days later, Aslan was too weak to move, throwing up repeatedly, and only wanted to cuddle—far from the playful puppy he once was. I rushed him to an emergency clinic, where they tested him and confirmed he had parvo, the worst case they had seen. They told me that had I waited even one more night, he would likely have passed away. I had no choice but to say goodbye that night, knowing that had the clinic taken proper action when I first brought him in, he might still be here today. I cannot begin to express the level of frustration and grief I feel when I think about how easily Aslan’s life could have been saved. The negligence at this clinic, whether due to carelessness, lack of expertise, or a focus on financial gain, is inexcusable. Had the vet listened to my concerns and conducted the necessary tests, my puppy might still be with me. With the knowledge I have now, I believe I should have pursued legal action against this facility at the time. I am now committed to making sure this clinic is held accountable for their actions, and I will be reporting them to the Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR). If necessary, I will take this matter to the news to ensure that no other pet owner has to experience the same heartbreak and loss. To any pet owners considering this clinic, I urge you to be cautious. The mistakes made here cost me the life of a beloved companion, and I hope my experience can serve as a warning for others. With that being said, I will not be attending my appointment this Thursday. As for the $25 deposit, they are welcome to keep it—it will be of little consequence, and certainly not enough to sway my decision or feed their egos. Rest in peace, Aslan. Forever a puppy.
I am So very grateful to the staff & Dr. Morris, this Dr. Calmly explained to me what was happening with my baby girl, Princess Nena. She took her time with me & I was not rushed like MOST places will do. The young lady named Reese at the front desk is super sweet and Yaminah that works with the Dr. She is Amazing! She also sat down with me to answer all questions that I had forgotten to ask Dr. Morris. This is a Phenomenal Team! Thank You All !!
I see several recent reviews as poor, but I have to say, my last few visits after being referred to Dr. Morris from an emergency care vet were wonderful ... even through a tough situation! I came in with a sudden sickly rescue pup, and after several visits and multiple tests, Dr. Morris and her incredible staff were determined to get Smudge feeling better. Dr. Morris took on the case with compassion and so much care. After each visit, she called me herself when test results came back and discussed action plans to get this pup to feel better and always had a plan b just in case. She was thorough, gave me time to ask questions, and made me feel just as important as my dog. Dr. Morris even went above and beyond and discussed my pups case with a colleague who specialized in gastro just to ensure treatment plans aligned with his case. I am so glad to have found you all and feel better knowing Smudge will be given the best care there to get healthy and live a God willing, long life. Thank you all. Adding a photo of the cute patients who Dr. Morris cared for.
I’ve been bringing my 11year old dog to this office for 4-6 years now and I enjoy the stuff very much and my dog feels comfortable. They are knowledgeable and efficient and even though I don’t live in the surrounding area, I will still travel to this location every single time. Nurse Yaminah Scales made my pet feel safe and they did a fantastic job with cutting his nails. Dr Morris was very knowledgeable and understanding of my dog's current situation but provided realistic tips on how to make sure my pet is healthy long-term with alternative food for my pet to eat. the overall experience is always great, and we leave very happy. I recommend this location to all my friends with pets.
