We are happy and grateful that we were able to work with this office to save our cats eye. Our regular vet had recommended enucleation for a corneal sequestrum. Our cat has "Feline Herpes" in his eye. We somehow managed to put the eye drops in for the four months required. Also aided by diagnosis and treatment of a very rare worm by regular vet, and a change in food to aid immune system, the eye started healing itself by May. By June, this vet said the eye was healed, and he would have a small scar. We can live with the car drop off situation. Some animals behave better without their "human parents" in the room.
I’m a hoomnan chiropractor that treats dogs and horses as well. After my 18 yo Pomeranian Tuckers eye ulcer wasn’t responding to treatment with his regular vet, they referred me here. The staff and the Dr I saw were all awesome. Patient, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and welcoming. Within 10 days after a minor procedure and new meds his eye is completely healed. ❤️
We had a very positive experience with the veterinarian and their staff. If anyone has concerns regarding the health of their pet's eyes, this establishment is highly recommended. They were also able to accommodate us promptly. Again, thank you
Everyone was so helpful and able to get my Poodle in quickly for his eye discomfort. I called Friday and he was in Monday for an appointment and was in surgery Tuesday for ectopic cilia. Everyone was so nice and knowledgeable and Dr. Villar was very thorough with explaining the procedure to me and checking all of his eyelids to make sure there wasn’t anything else bothering him. I am thankful that my Cooper is going to be feeling a lot better now. Thank you so much.
We have had two of our dogs treated at this veterinary ophthalmology hospital. Everyone I have spoken with (via phone) and met with (Nurses, Office staff) has been extremely caring, thorough, and knowledgeable. Under normal circumstances, I would rate them FIVE Stars, however, I have deducted 2 stars from my review, because 2 of 3 ophthalmology veterinarians there will NOT meet with the pet's parents in person! I outright asked about this, and NO explanation was given. They practice stricter, more rigid protocols than there were during Covid, and will not give a reason. I have never experienced such a thing. They do SO MANY THINGS RIGHT, but THIS IS A HUGE MISS. ______________________________________UPDATED 6.20.24... I would like to suggest that the phone call we receive from the attending vet... which takes about 5 or so minutes, after the exam is completed, be a face to face conversation in the reception area, as many veterinary specialists do. It would greatly improve the experience. Thank you for your consideration.
