My first time at this vet and I am beyond happy! Everyone treated me and my fur babe with love and kindness. I rescued a golden puppy and they went above and beyond for her. We got a good diet, proper medicine and her overall health in much better standing. Nothing but love from everyone here. I highly recommend.
I want to express my deepest gratitude to the veterinary team who was with me when I had to say goodbye to my beloved dog Rocky. The decision to put a pet to sleep is never easy, and the emotional weight of it is hard to put into words. However, the team at Animal Hospital of Seminole truly made this heartbreaking moment as peaceful and dignified as possible. From the moment we arrived, the staff were understanding and compassionate, offering quiet support without rushing us. They gave me space to say goodbye, but also made sure to explain every step of the process, so there were no surprises. Dr. Melillo, was gentle and patient, not just with my dog but with me as well. He understood how difficult this was and ensured that my dog was comfortable, without any pain or anxiety. Thank you, Animal Hospital of Seminole, for your exceptional care and support. I will always remember the way you treated us both with such warmth and respect.
I mistakenly left a 3 star review but certainly did not intend to, and after realizing it, I have changed it to a 5 star! The whole staff was great when I recently brought our new pup Rufus in for an initial check-up. We will use Animal Hospital of Seminole moving forward. Keep up the great work đ
Recently visited this office for my first time after SPCA closed - initial visit was amazing! Felt very welcomed by staff and was excited to find the perfect fit for us. However - the second visit was absolutely horrible. Our second visit was a mere follow up on a general ear infection. I was greeted at a bench in the waiting room by a tech holding her hand out (I almost thought she was trying to help me up as this has never happened to me before) She clarified she was just going to take my dog back and have her ears checked and she would be right back out. Thinking this was odd but Iâm new here, I handed my dogs leash over and sat and waited. Time passes and âGlendaâ comes out and tells me she thinks the infection is gone etc. But this is where it gets weird. She then leads in to tell me that my dog has âwisened up to the peanut butterâ and her and another tech resorted to âshoving handfuls of peanut butter into her mouth while trying to get samples from her earâ and then I was told that âI really need to desensitize my dog by making sure I put my hands in her mouth and her ears otherwise the next time she comes in she will have to be sedatedâ Are you out of your mind? Never in my life have I been to a practice where not only is my animal treated like his but then to turn it around as if I have done something wrong / lacked any training towards her. Why was anyone at all putting their hands in her mouth? Why was I not back there with her if there were any issue at all? I have never been spoken to that way and I couldnât even wrap my head around it. I canât imagine what went on in that back room for someone to ever say that to me and Iâm not sure why someone would ever be âshovingâ food into my dogs mouth with their bare hands all while restraining her. My dog is a 6 year old rescue who is beyond docile and generally afraid of everything. Not only do I not agree with not being welcomed in the back room with her, but now I cannot imagine what she had endured during this visit and we will NEVER be back. I canât help but wonder how many dogs are wrongfully sedated because of the staffs inability to handle them. DO NOT BRING YOUR BABIES HERE.
The staff is so attentive and compassionate. Dr. Melillo and Dr. White have been our vets for years. They take time to explain everything and genuinely care! The entire team (especially Kim K.) love on our pets as if they were their own.
