We've taken four courses with Beyond the Leash Dog Training, and the experience has been transformative for us and our dog. During the past six months, we've learned a lot about our pet, and Beyond the Leash has played a fundamental part in making him more self-confident and well-behaved. One of our favorite things has been the day classes, where the trainers reinforce the techniques and lessons we learn during the courses. Being very small and shaky, our dog has grown a lot over the past five months. We usually take him there to work on the socialization aspect. Kim, the founder, brought one of her dog ambassadors to teach us how to play in a controlled environment, as ours was very shy and didn't know how to act when other pets were nearby. We can tell he is being well taken care of by the attention they give to our dogs. The trainers at Beyond the Leash are very attentive and patient. They have personalized advice and tailored training sessions to our dog's needs and progress. We also love the boarding services they offer. After a few daycare sessions to acclimate our dog to the environment and trainers, we feel confident leaving him there when we travel. The private lessons, especially those focused on walking techniques with Emily, have been game-changers for us. They also send you photos and updates on what they did each day when the pet is in their daycare or boarding. Beyond the basics, Beyond the Leash offers exciting activities like velocity training and barn hunting. Although our 5-pound dog is still getting the hang of it, Lori and Bear are doing an outstanding job helping him understand the game and that there is a "game." Special thanks to Tatiana, Emily, Lori, Jasmin, and Kim, who have brought in other training dogs to help our little one learn to play and interact appropriately.
Best trainer and doggy daycare in Orlando. I have been training my dog there for over two years taking progressively more difficult classes. She is a certified therapy dog. I also take her to daycare where they also help train her. They also have community event such as Cinco de Mayo fun run.
If I could give 10 stars, I would. I have a very anxious 2 year old and a 4 month old puppy. The 2yo has been working in socialization several days a week and private training once a month. Her progress in only a few months is remarkable! I've never seen her so comfortable and confident. Lori's ability to break it down for me in private lessons has been very helpful. It's not entirely about training dogs, it's a lot about training owners. The 4mo just completed his first set of classes and he has a strong work ethic and has made huge progress in his socialization sessions to continue that work. We will continue taking group classes as he (and mostly I) get better at the basics. One day he may even make it to CGC and Therapy classes. Kim has been encouraging and realistic in setting expectations of both dogs and parents. Possibly the most important thing I have learned is that crates are not punishment, it is not cruel, it is a great way for my anxious girl to decompress and has made potty training the puppy so much quicker than it was with the 2yo. They each love having their own space, not resource guarding and relaxing in their personal 'bedrooms'. BTL has changed my entire outlook on having dogs. As a self professed crazy cat lady, I treated them like cats. Knowing what their expectations of me has changed my interactions with my dogs for the better.
Friendly and wonderful staff. My dog is so excited to go here every week. Once he sees the parking lot he's just so excited to get in and see the other pups and the trainers. Not only do they offer doggy Day care and training, they can groom and provide some basic veterinary services too! Parking can be a bit tight here so be patient and don't forget you can park on the side and walk a bit further to get in.
I’m extremely disheartened by my experience. I brought my dachshund in for private lessons due to her behavioral issues, and at first, everything seemed promising. I really connected with the trainer—she generously spent over an hour and a half with me, and we seemed to click right away. She mentioned she would email me a plan and asked me to send her videos and notes to better understand my dog’s behavior. However, over the past three weeks, I’ve emailed three times, texted twice, and left a voicemail, and I’ve received no response. I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but it’s frustrating to feel ghosted by a professional company. After investing time and money with the hope of helping my dog, I’m now forced to look for another trainer.
