I came here after my cat Ryder was sick and not eating, this veterinary team was very helpful and supportive on helping us on where to go from there. They recommended us to VEG (Veterinary Emergency Group), where my cat was able to more treatment. Thanks to Dunedin Animal Medical Center I was sent to the best place for my cat to be saved. Ryder ended up having to go through surgery to remove a foreign body. He is now home and fully recovered! I wanted to thank everyone who helped us through this difficult time.
Every person who works there actually empathizes with the owners and are very careful not to hurt your animal! DaVita called the day after I brought my dog in to see how he was doing. She is almost typical in how sympathetic empathetic professional and polite they are. Everyone can be a bit crazy when their pet gets sick. Thank goodness the people to whom I spoke at this vet office and the vets themselves know how to handle patience owner in a very nice way! I think that office is great. The only one thing that stops me from using them sometimes is the cost. My talk probably should have had a blood panel but the cost was $386. This does not include the exam and the medication. So I'd be walking out of there with almost $500 total cost. Anything is worth it for my dog but I definitely could not afford that! They found a way to treat my dog in a way which I could afford. They are not alone in the costs of veterinary Care. Since the pandemic the costs have more than tripled! This is all around the USA I feel very fortunate that I live close enough where I can use Dunedin vet medical center.
We used the veterinarian's website to make an online appointment for 8:00 a.m. the next day. When we arrived, I informed the receptionist that I had made an appointment online but had not received a confirmation email. We showed up at the requested time. However, our in-person experience was unsatisfactory. To our surprise, we were confronted with an $80 walking fee despite using their website to schedule the appointment. The business opened at 6:30 a.m., and since we arrived at 8:00 a.m., we thought expecting staff to handle overnight requests or emails regarding appointments was reasonable. One of the receptionist's demeanor was unexpectedly hostile. She thanked us for "contaminating" the empty reception area, which caught us off guard and left me looking around to see if the dog had had an accident. I had to ask another receptionist, who appeared visibly uncomfortable with her colleague's attitude, what she meant because the first receptionist had already walked away. Although this is not our primary veterinarian, we have used their services when we needed quick appointments. We had never encountered any issues before, but the excessive additional charge and poor customer service overshadowed the clinic's previously acceptable pricing (typically $200-$300). As a result, we left and will not be returning. Plenty of other veterinarians in Pinellas County are likely eager for business.
We have been loving the care and support the staff and doctors have given to our precious dogs! Dr. Delgado is compassionate and caring, and so is everyone at Dunedin Animal Center. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great veterinary specialist who will treat you and your fur babies with love!
Dunedin Medical center is a very professional, well run center. The staff and Doctors are all kind and efficient. They explain everything before doing it and are very kind and compassionate! I would highly recommend it for any pet.
