    I highly recommend Fetch Specialty & Emergency Veterinary Center, Fort Myers, FL. I brought my 18 yr old dachshund, Charlie Brown to them on Labor Day. He could not lift his hind legs to walk. Having degenerative disc disease, thin and with little quality of life left, it was with a heavy heart that we put him to sleep. It was such a traumatic experience. I struggled to let go. The whole team at Fetch were very compassionate, loving and caring. I was a complete mess. They let me take my time with him and later explained his cremation options. I couldn't have done this without them. They were so understanding and caring as they felt my pain. I've been a mess since I left there however, their compassion was huge and heartfelt. I received a beautiful card this week, signed by the whole Fetch team; including notes and laminated pawprints of Charlie Brown! I feel they loved him too!! Thank you to the whole Fetch team for your knowledge, love and compassion. You are all truly amazing, strong people who actually care and understand. Appreciate the support and kindness. Upon leaving the facility ( out a side door so I wouldn't have to see anyone) while crying hysterically, I got to my car and got my composure, while driving out their parking lot, there in front of me was a beautiful rainbow -showing me that my baby doxie had crossed rainbow bridge!

    My cat Ryder was very sick and we were sent to Fetch for surgery. The surgery team was amazing on keeping me updated throughout the whole process, before and after surgery. They were also extremely helpful with his recovery. Ryder is now home and full recovered, I wanted to thank everyone that helped us through this.

    Katarzyna was so sweet and compassionate with me and my little sister while we had to put to sleep our family cat. It was so obvious she really truly cares about the animal as well as the humans. It made the decision and actions much easier knowing we had her empathy with us. She tried very hard to remain unemotional and professional while talking to me about what was happening, but we both knew it was hard for her too to have to deliver such heartbreaking news. I am so grateful I got to say goodbye to my baby in a painless way and had her support and love for me and my cat there with us. The whole staff team there was so sweet and kind to us and relieved as much of the grief and burden as they could. I will never forget them. UPDATE: I just got a condolences letter in the mail dated the day after I had to put her to sleep. The team here is so wonderful I really made the right choice coming here.

    I’m so glad I chose Fetch for my cat’s needs. So glad they are open 24/7. I had the pleasure of meeting Jeremy and Dr. Shade and another wonderful young lady on staff. It was time for my cat Babes to make her journey to Rainbow Bridge and they were very kind and compassionate and explained everything. They gave me all the time I needed to say goodbye to my best friend and gave me options for her remains. Anyone who may feel guilty about not keeping their pets ashes should know that the communal ashes go to rebuilding the coral reefs. That is a wonderful way to honor your pet knowing that they are helping the oceans. Thank you for your outstanding service and kindness. Babes 2011-2024

    My sweetest girl, Jelly Bean, met just about everyone in the office. She was diagnosed with grade 3 mast cell cancer last year and went to Fetch for oncology, surgery, ophthalmology, and critical care. Throughout each visit, we were shown kindness, compassion, and outstanding care. Surgery: Dr. Enderle is a fantastic surgeon and extremely personable. I was terrified for my baby’s scar revision surgery. Our vet was unable to get clean margins, and a second surgery with a board-certified surgeon was recommended. Dr. Enderle answered each and every question I asked, and there were at least a dozen, and was happy to address my concerns and help me feel more at ease. She took excellent care of my precious girl and updated me after her surgery and the next morning. I also spoke on the phone to surgical nurses prior to her operation, who were lovely and helped me feel less anxious. Oncology: Dr. Costa is a wonderful oncologist. We were able to get in for a consultation one week after my precious Beanie was diagnosed. Dr. Costa took her time with us and answered all my questions, both during the consultation and throughout treatment. The oncology nurses are amazing, we love Shaina, Daniela, Sarah, and Ashlie. They were incredibly sweet to my girl, and to me, and made chemo genuinely enjoyable for her. She would run back to the treatment room with her tail wagging full speed, ready for more fun! Bean was attacked by two loose dogs before and is dog reactive as a result. Everyone was incredibly patient with her and did not seem to mind waiting around for the lobby to clear to keep everyone safe and calm. Ophthalmology: About halfway through chemo, I took Bean to the vet for a corneal ulcer. Although the ulcer had healed, her eye remained hazy. She was diagnosed with glaucoma and was referred to an ophthalmologist. We were able to see the one and only, Dr. Schlesener, better known as Dr. Sparkles, the same day. Dr. Sparkles loved Bean as her own. She always complimented my baby’s teeth and smile and how goofy and wonderful she is. Bean was a little head shy with glaucoma, and would turn her head to the side or look down, but Dr. Sparkles was incredibly patient with her. Bean received 11 eyedrops a day for about a month, but her pressure was still too high. We opted for enucleation, and I was relieved Dr. Sparkles performed her surgery. We had never met anyone so bubbly and caring before, I knew Bean was in the best hands. And of course, Tina, Jasmin, and Melissa were excellent nurses and quick to answer any questions and concerns. Oncology and ophthalmology collaborated, and we were able to receive chemo and eye pressure testing exams during the same visits. Critical care: Several doctors and nurses took care of Bean when we visited the emergency vet. There had been signs of progression of cancer, and we opted to increase her dose of chemo. Dr. Costa cautioned that although she did not have any side effects thus far, the increased dose could produce some. A few days later, she was lethargic and did not have her usual appetite. We took her to Fetch for supportive care and held out hope that she was having a reaction to chemo. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The emergency staff treated us with much kindness and respect. It was essentially a three-day waiting period, desperately clinging to hope that her condition would improve. She received fluids, had multiple ultrasounds performed, x-rays, and a blood transfusion. We were able to visit Bean for as long as we wanted to. My husband and I laid on the floor with her for two hours each visit and pet her and told her how much we love her. She hardly ate, and our next option would be to put a feeding tube down her throat. It was then that my husband and I decided it was time to take our best girl home. Dr. Meeks was incredibly compassionate and caring. We were never pressured into making any decisions. We discharged Beanie and Lap of Love came over the next day. We are so grateful we gave her the best fighting chance and met so many wonderful people along the way.
