I have been training with ODTC for at least 25 years. I have always found them to be effective if you are open minded. Many of my instructors over the years have become friends with much insight into the hows and whys of implementation of training. Best place to train in my opinion.
I 100% recommend ODTC for all ages and skill levels. The volunteer instructors are knowledgeable and friendly. This great group of people welcomed a newbie to dogs with open arms. I began in a puppy class over 2 years ago. I’ve taken ( and continue to take) a variety of classes and have enjoyed every one. They have ample parking which is a plus.
My Dalmatian has been through a number of classes at ODTC — Beginner Plus, tricks, rally — and the trainers are awesome. We are now working on our Rally Championship and have enjoyed the journey we are on thanks ODTC.
Orlando Dog Training Club is great! They have helped me with my dogs and we have been successful!
The skills learned in the beginner plus class were useless to us. 90% of this class was just opening the crate door and having the dogs stay put. Our dog mastered this within one session. We do not crate our dog so this was pointless. I am unsure why we spent 45 min - 1 hour doing this over and over again for 8 weeks straight. Other useless “tricks” sprinkled into this class include: running around a cone and putting their paws on a black rubber stand and turning around. I wanted to teach my dog to walk nicely on a leash. They taught dancing around cones instead. I don’t need my dog to dance around cones. This whole training facility attracts an extremely peculiar group of people. If you are a regular dog owner that just wants to obtain “normal” or “classic” training, I’d advise against coming here. Very weird place.
