my experience with this animal hospital was the worst experience, soon as I walked in the door there was no compassion.. my Bella had a torn ACl and after the experience I had received I could say no words, they said they need more x ray 600 dollars wow !!! Not to mention they said the procedure was going to cost 4500 .. I left... I was not going to pay that first of all but dont any one taking their fur baby here I would love to recommend the best place you could ever take your baby is, Saddle creek animal hospital in Lakeland fl, no matter what they are the best best best won't ever over charge you and so compassionate it's unbelievable. The orthopedic vet specialist is amazing.. he loves his animals big or small and my procedure is 3000 ish
My mother-in-law took her dog to Pavillion for a teeth cleaning today. Unfortunately, this place is going down hill. She dropped him off at 8:30 and checked with the staff throughout the day. At 2 pm he still had not been taken back to get his teeth cleaned. Apparently "they ran into complications with another dog but they still expected to be able to facilitate his cleaning and that he is expected to go back within the hour". Then at 5 pm when she called again, they said they were not able to facilitate the cleaning, mind you he has not eaten all day. My mother-in-law went to pick him up and when she picked him up his paw was shaved and bleeding - they nicked him and burned him with the clippers . She asked what was going on with that and the Receptionist dismissed her concerns and said "they are like us, that will be fine" Did not offer anything to aid healing. Then the Vet Tech was sarcastic and said "sorry for the inconvenience but we had to save a life" as if her dog and her concerns were less of a priority. Just an awful experience. Look at the picture of his poor leg. I will not be taking my dogs back and trust that I will stop recommending this Vet.
I really hate to write this review, because the staff were absolutely excellent when I brought my kitten to get a checkup. The lady at the front desk was very nice and informative, as was the vet tech. Unfortunately I can not say the same for the actual veterinarian. I recognize and understand that in any medical profession it can get extremely busy, and I know that sometimes even doctors have bad days, but I do feel the need that something needs to be said. The vet came in the room and firstly didn’t introduce himself and barely acknowledged me, and it seemed from the moment he stepped in the room he wanted to get out. I had videos to show the vet depicting the cough my kitten was exhibiting, which he listened to for about 2.5 seconds and then moved right along (I can give the benefit of the doubt on this one, maybe he was able to tell exactly what it was that quickly, but it just seemed that he was trying to rush). Then of course, I had questions, which almost seemed like it annoyed him. Maybe my questions seemed dumb to him, but I didn’t go through years of veterinary education and training. My questions got what seemed to be an irritated monotonous response, with the vibe of “okay now can we wrap this up?”. The entire visit was maybe 2 minutes. I left there with a vague idea of what my pet had, and he never explained the administration of the medications to me (left it all to the vet tech, but didn’t acknowledge that she would explain them). Now there is a good chance that this vet knows his medical knowledge very good and gave excellent treatment, HOWEVER, how am I to know this and trust in someone who seemed like all they wanted to do was go home? The vet tech was the one answering most of my questions after the vet already left the room and actually showing patience and genuine care. Honestly, it was so rushed I left not even knowing if what my cat had was a bacterial infection or a virus. The woman at the front desk was 100x more informative and helpful than the vet was. She explained everything so well and is the only reason I somewhat have confidence in the care my animal received. I just hope that the diagnosis and treatment he gave was correct and that my baby gets better soon, but it is unfair and terrible that I have to feel ANY doubts after doing the right thing and bringing her in as soon as possible. I hope that either this is just out of character for this vet, or that he takes these words into consideration and does better for his other patients. I sincerely apologize to the front desk ladies and other staff for this bad review, but I firmly believe health is not something to be taken lightly and that there is a higher standard that needs to be upheld in any place that provides healthcare.
With a heavy and an angry heart, I’m writing this because we took our dog in on 4/27 at 2 pm for a hurt front paw or leg! She was her typical self and had regular energy , She only had a limp . This was not a constant pain it would come and go . She had no injury what so ever! We were puzzled ! Since she was an older Rottie and lil over weight we were thinking to arthritis. So the vet mentioned X-rays along with an arthritis supplement, a pain shot to get her jump started on relieving her and then we would start her the next day on Gilliprant 100mg once a day! Over the course of time Sat 4/27 to Monday 4/30 at 1 am she was pooping blood all over our house and by 7 am she had a constant drip of blood coming out of her butt! We got her in and the vet said she was extremely critical with fluid in her abdomen (blood) and her spleen bursted and we needed to make a decision All this is very disturbing and troubling since her only problem was a limping front paw
I loooove this place so much! I have a 16 year old dachshund (Captain Jack)who was my fathers before he passed and in VERY rough shape. One vet told me to euthanize him. They didn’t even mention that. Their care, support and medical intervention saved him. I felt no judgement or shame from them. He is doing AMAZING! He has many years left hopefully. They also care for my new puppy (Mochi) and I couldn’t be happier with the entire staff. From the front desk to the doctor himself. I appreciate these people so much! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ I have been with a comment about the vet being in an out and not very attentive. That is what his status is for. Exactly like if you go to the ER, you deal with the nurses and other people more than you do the actual doctor himself. In my opinion, the doctor was very kind. If I had any questions, he answered them fully, and I never felt rushed to speak with him.
