I had to have my fur baby euthanized due to kidney failure while I was in the area. Even though I was not a regular customer, Paws and Claws was able to get me in on the same day. They were sweet, compassionate, and understanding during a very difficult time. I am extremely grateful. Highly recommend.
Dr. Phillips and her staff are incredibly kind and patient. They treat all of our animals with the utmost care. I know our pets are always in good hands at Paws and Claws Vet Clinic.
I bring my two dogs here, Benji and Koko, and I always feel that they are well taken care of. The staff is very polite and answer any questions efficiently. I trust them wholeheartedly with my two little ones.
I had a bad experience at this vet and would not recommend bringing your pet here. My dog was diagnosed with a UTI and the vet recommended an X-ray to check for bladder stones. After confirming the presence of a stone, she informed us that in order to schedule surgery, they would need to complete additional lab work- a fecal exam, urinalysis, and blood work. We proceeded with these tests, spending a total of almost $600 under the expectation that this was a necessary step toward the surgery. Leading up to the procedure, there was no proactive communication from the clinic. I called multiple times just to get cost estimates and preparation instructions. There was also no follow-up to check on how my dog was responding to her prescriptions, something that has been standard practice at other veterinary offices we’ve visited. On the day of surgery, we dropped her off at 8:45 AM, expecting to pick her up at 5:30 PM. THREE hours after dropping my dog off, we received a call stating that the surgery could not be performed because there would be no staff available on Saturday for follow-up care, despite being told at drop-off that our dog would need to return for follow-ups on Friday and Saturday. The reason given for the cancellation was that they overlooked that the surgery was scheduled on a Thursday and the doctor could not come in Saturday. This experience caused unnecessary stress and hardship, not just for me, but especially for my dog. We only proceeded with the additional lab work, fecal exam, and urinalysis because we were explicitly told these were required to move forward with surgery. Since they later failed to perform the procedure due to their own scheduling oversight, these tests ultimately served no purpose, and we now have to seek treatment elsewhere with a provider we can trust. After all of this, and with minimal empathy from the office staff, they offered to reschedule. Because of their lack of communication, miscommunication, and failure to properly coordinate my pet’s care, I had no choice but to seek treatment elsewhere. As a result of these delays, my dog is still in need of care. I hope this review helps other pet owners make an informed decision.
I am beyond grateful to find this place!!! From the moment you enter, it feels very welcoming and the staff are very pleasant. Very accommodate price wise. And the Dr was very easy and sweet with my cats. I will definitely continue to visit them and recommend it 100%.
