I had never been to this clinic before. I took my kitty here because he was very sick and I was able to get a same day appointment thankfully. The receptionist was very nice and worked me in with short notice. The work needed was way over what I had available immediately they worked with me finding a way to proceed so I could get funds for my furbaby over a couple days and come back. The very kind vet tech and doctor went above and beyond and were very compassionate and understanding of my situation. I cannot recommend this place enough for the help they have given me for my kitty. Thank you Plant City Animal Hospital!
I needed an emergency appointment for my cat. They were quick to get me in and treated us with care and compassion, a good experience for my pet. Vets can be traumatic for our fuzzy friends, I am so glad that this wasn't! The cat is doing great and I would visit again without hesitation.
Made an appointment for my dog at 330 arrived to an empty waiting room nobody there. Over a half an hour went by with nobody coming to say the Dr will be with us. We left at 4 what is the sense of booking appointments if you cannot keep them. Dr Wicker and his previous staff were a lot better never kept us waiting at all! ALSO PS NOBODY WANTS TO LISTEN RAP MUSIC IN A DOCTORS OFFICE! AND TO THE YOUNG RECEPTIONIST AT THE FRONT DO NOT LAUGH AT PEOPLE WHEN THEY ARE UPSET ABOUT THIS STUFF YOUR PLACE WILL BE LOSING A LOT OF PATIENTS!!!!!!!
The staff was very kind and good with my cat. Dr Lozado was thorough in exam and explanation of recommendations. Many places make you feel rushed in their exam but not here!
Finally, after moving here a year ago, finding a vet with the background and experience of my previous one in Denver has been difficult. I had found a injured stray cat and took him in. I took him the emergency clinic in Winterhaven, and they treated his injured eye, determined his sex and sent me on my way. We named him Leo. But I could tell something was still not quite right. So I asked around, checked as best as i could, determined to find a top-tier vet, and was told to see Dr,. Montgomery at Plante City Clinic. This was my fourth vet, and this is the first vet who actually did a full exam on first visit and found things the others missed - Issues that were serious. I am used to having the doc look at eyes, ears, heart, teeth, paws, butt, as well as listen and feel around as part of every visit. All the previous vets did was basically feel around, listen to the heart and say everything is good. and this included the emergency center in Winterhaven where I will never take an animal to again. After chatting with them I saw Dr. Montgomery. When I first chatted with her, I knew she was a cat person. Her knowledge was impressive, and believe me, I have had cats for 40 years, so I know a good Doc when I find one. She not only examined my boy but noticed some things and actually took him in back for further assessment. She found some unusual symptoms and told me he was not neutered, as other vets said. his testicles had not descended. they were stuck in his abdomen. and it was a simple diagnosis, but it takes a higher level of experience to understand that. She also found a rare disorder with his paws. I just had him operated on by her to fix the testicles and treat the paw issue. Anyway, i am sure there are good vets around. Great ones, not convinced, until now. Dr. Montgomery is exemplary!! And, I have to assume the other docs at this clinic as equally qualified and experienced with other animals as well.
