I could not be more grateful to this office. My poor baby boy as it turns out has degenerative disc disease and arthritis. He is only three years old and a Frenchie. He hurt his back, jumping off the bed. I called around to the emergency vets and that was simply not affordable. I stopped at one vet at 7 AM when they opened would not see him. They recommended Plummer. I think because I was there before any other patients, they did me a real solid and did take him and did x-rays, injection, medication etc.. I couldn’t let my boy be in ongoing agonizing pain. The entire office was amazing. Kudos to the receptionist for making the visit happen. I was already turned away from another office and fearful, I would not be able to get any relief for him without paying more than double. The doctor was very clear and concise and in the end I got some relief from my boy. I highly recommend this office and I now have a new veterinarian office

We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Dr. Plummer and his amazing team today! From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed and cared for! Dr. Plummer was incredibly thorough in his examination and took the time to really get to know our pets. We had A LOT of questions and he patiently answered every single one of them without making us feel rushed. Soraya and Miranda were amazing compassionate technicians and made sure everything went smoothly. Highly recommend them!

First visit today with our Great Dane, Labradoodle mix and chihuahua mix. Staff was friendly and Dr. Plummer was excellent! Thankful to have found a new veterinarian close to home.

After two unsuccessful vets for my dog, in need of a new one, I researched Plummer Pet hospital and saw great reviews. First time yesterday and they went above and beyond. Prices were good, staff is very kind, Doctor Plummer was great. My dog is not the happiest at the vet due to past trauma but for her first time there they handled her with care and got majority of it done for her. Him and his team explained everything about her concerns in depth and was more than happy to answer our questions.

My Sansa, 9.5 female Boxer, saw Dr. Plummer last Friday, January 31st, referred to me by a friend who also has boxers. Sansa has degenerative myelopathy, a progressive spinal cord disease in dogs that leads to muscle weakness, loss of coordination, and eventually paralysis. I was having difficulty locating veterinarian with the experience and skillset to assist with care. Although, her DM was slow acting, I will admit that she was in the latter stages with mostly reflexes only on the back two legs and fully mobile in the wheelchair but more like a front legged monster walking without it. I took her in to get an evaluation on the status of her DM but more importantly to follow up on her tummy. She whimpered in pain the Sunday prior and she isn’t the type to cry. I was worried that maybe DM could affect the digestive track, so I called first thing Monday morning and snagged the first available opening on Friday with the request for a phone call if anyone canceled as I’d be monitoring her. During this wait period, Sansa released a large #2, which I was hoping could have been the issue but still wanted to continue with her appointment regardless. Staff is professional, kind, and Dr. Plummer felt objective in his evaluation. I left feeling relieved because the tummy wasn’t flagged as a problem but he did share grave concern with her DM and gave me an outline of what expectations were on the horizon. That her bladder would go next and then breathing. I had mentally prepared myself for this conversation and it felt like a weight had been lifted because I had some time to spend with her as well as setup one heck of a send off as Sansa is very well loved in the community. I was told it was likely anywhere form 2-12 months regarding the bladder and he prescribed her steroids to keep her more comfortable until I (or she) decided it was time. However, I’m writing this review because, despite the thorough discussion on her DM, I feel Dr. Plummer overlooked a critical issue with her abdomen. He dismissed the “pot belly” Sansa had, which was concerning to me but not flagged as an issue, and I left the office under the assumption that I still had time with her. Just a few days later, on Monday evening, Sansa collapsed. Her breathing slowed, and I thought we were going to lose her. I contacted the office again to see if this could be related to the steroids, but was directed to Blue Pearl emergency services. When we arrived, we learned that Sansa had a large mass in her abdomen, with fluid that was likely blood. The doctors there told me that she was likely bleeding out internally, and the timeline was short—minutes, days, or maybe a week if we chose to pursue a blood circulation medication, which I took immediately. This was devastating news, especially since I had been led to believe her condition was mainly related to her DM. They offered to remove the tumor but I was advised that due to her age and condition that even if all went well that her quality of life would be diminished especially given the time it would take to heal. The next morning, Sansa collapsed again but quickly bounced back, acting like her usual playful self. After this second occurrence, I called Lap of Love and decided to let her pass peacefully with us, rather than risk her being confused and alone. She passed away while eating peanut butter off of our fingers. While I don’t believe Dr. Plummer is necessarily a bad vet, I am very disappointed with the lack of attention to detail regarding Sansa's condition. I would not recommend this clinic for dogs with complex health issues, particularly if those issues require a thorough and careful evaluation. I feel that the information I received missed critical signs and ultimately left me unprepared for the sudden turn of events. I hope this helps those seeking a place to support their loved ones.
