It’s rare for me to leave a review, but I felt that I must for Royal Pets in Midtown. My rescue dog is VERY anxious when it comes to the vet which results in fear aggression. Prior to going to Royal Pets, my pup has required sedation for any examination. I thought that was just going to be the norm for his entire life. He had his first appointment with Dr. Braha this weekend who I can confidently say is the most compassionate veterinarian I have ever encountered, along with the vet tech, Wanita. These two were able to get my dog to a state where he could be examined while conscious that I never in my life would’ve thought was possible. He was muzzled and I did give him Trazodone prior to his appointment, but the fact that he wasn’t sedated and cooperated with the vet in a HUGE win for his confidence & mine. If you have a dog who struggles at the vet, I highly recommend Royal Pets. Thank you Dr. Braha & Wanita for all you do! Truly the best care I could ask for!
I wish I could give 0 stars. As a grooming facility this place is shady and unprofessional. I have never been charged the same price for the same groom, they will add on additional charges without approval, and they will rush through grooms to get out quicker. I was charged for an “express groom” which I never requested or was informed was receiving. The only reason I can assume is because the groomer told me I was “her only appointment of the day and all other appointments cancelled” and she wanted to not only rush my dog out so she could leave but also charge me extra for it. It’s one thing to want to leave early but to then charge me for it??? I have an older dog who does have some skin problems but I do have a prescription shampoo for her when her skin is irritated. When she got her groom at the time of pick up the groomer told me she did a “mud treatment” for her skin. I’m not sure what this includes or the ingredients in it that would help her skin. Had I been informed of this I would have denied the mud bath and used her prescription shampoo at home. This also end up being an additional charge I was not informed of or requested. This place is money hungry and lacks all professional. It is not the kind of place I would want my dog going to because they seem more concerned about the money in their wallet than the actual dogs and customers. I will not be returning and advise anyone else does either.
The service that our family has experienced at Royal Pets Midtown Tampa has been unmatched! We have had animals for many years now and have never experienced this level of care. Dr. Braha and Hannah have truly gone above and beyond to ensure our puppy is in the best health, as he’s had an injury and some allergy-related complications. Hannah even made the effort to fit our puppy in on a very busy day when he was injured, and even insisted on keeping him at the facility to watch him and make sure he was okay for the next several hours. Dr. Braha and Hannah have also sent countless follow-up text messages asking how he was doing with his medications and explaining any questions that we had about our pup. My boyfriend and I are so grateful that we have a vet office that we can fully trust and rely on. We also have him enrolled in daycare, which has been a wonderful experience. The front desk and daycare staff have been so friendly, helpful and understanding. We are beyond lucky to have Royal Pets Midtown Tampa right down the road from us and can’t thank the entire staff enough!
I had a wonderful experience with the groomer here. Christine was very friendly and professional like she always is. She is a dog whisperer. I am extatic that I found her. I will not be taking my furr babies anywhere else. She was excellent, and patient. I brought my Byrnes Mountain Dog who had never been groom before and she's 4yrs old and she got her done and I'm sure it was not an easy feat. She also did my 2yr old Morkie. I could mot be happier. Thank you Christine
