Called up for urgent care and was so pleased with the staff, Dr. Nick and the facility. They got us right in and were so personable. My dog was so comfortable and now she’s a patient. So happy!
I love Southern Wind Animal Hospital. Dr. Nick and the Veterinary technicians are very nice to myself and my pets. Always answer my questions and take great care of my dog and cats.
We have been with Southern Wind Animal Hospital for many years now and they are the best at what they do for our pets. Dr Nick and his staff were extremely supportive when we had to put our cat Peanut down. They are truly amazing.
I feel very fortunate to have found such a reliable, knowledgeable, and compassionate vet and staff. My dog is a rescue who had some serious health issues including Lupus. Doctor Nick diagnosed her immediately and developed a care plan that worked without needing to see a specialist. I've had 3 dogs that Dr. Nick and staff have seen and he has dealt with a rescue, aging pet, and end of life issues with the three dogs. He has been wonderful in all stages.
Their initial treatment of my animal was good, and the doctor was very nice. My wife was told during the appointment that we needed to return for vaccines that weren’t on file and to check their healing progress, within 2-3 weeks. Unfortunately I was not able to make the timeframe and was a late in returning; life happens, I work 12-13 hours a day in manual labor, and I have no one in particular to rely on aside from my wife. Thus, my animal was dropped from their patient list and I wasn’t informed. I should have at least been told of the issue when I was last in their office and made the appointment for the vaccine that they wanted my animal to get. I understand things need to be certain ways in this field, but this situation was not handled with any sort of professionalism. I was not called, I was not given a warning; no communication until I called the morning of my appointment to ask a question. It seems if you make a mistake, and do not follow his word to the ABSOLUTE letter, you somehow wound his professional pride and get no chance to correct the issue and are unceremonious dropped from his patient list without notification. As an emergency walk-in? Sure, this place is nice. I would, however, absolutely not recommend them as your regular veterinarian. I have, thankfully, found a veterinarian that was willing to take my animal and give them their vaccines.
