I came here a few months ago or so with an emergency my pigeon had been bit by a dog the lady vet told me that birds can't grow back skin which baffled me considering when i found my little guy he was missing his scalp and it came back fine and she also said that If I really love my bird I should put him down anyway i ended up declining and asking if I could buy medication instead. I also politely asked the vet if she could at least show me how to wrap his wound but once she wasn't gonna get money to put my bird down she said no and was no longer interested. Now it's months later my pigeons perfectly fine has all his skin back and able to fly and do everything he could before don't listen to this delusional vet my bird was fine yours will be too don't let her kill anymore Little birdies

We have been going to St. Charles since 2011. The staff is friendly, always saying hi to our dog, and they are all understanding of his anxiety and fear of other dogs. On our most recent visit Dr. May took the time to answer all our questions and concerns as usual, and then did the same over the phone to discuss bloodwork results and next steps for our boy. The vet support staff had also called the day after our appointment to just check and make sure Miller was doing ok. We trust their judgment and are so glad to have found them all those years ago!

I want to share my experience because of my fur baby that means so much to me! this place was absolutely the worst place I have ever endured in my whole life with tears in my eyes. I went there to try to save my poor baby from a pitbull attack after going over everything they gave me an outrageous bill for over $9,000 when I told him that I didn’t have the $9,000 upfront, they told me my options were to put my dog down or to leave with the open wound as is, I could not believe it. I did not know what to do. I cried and cried and cried, and I hope nobody ever ends up with this type of treatment. This type of cold-hearted, where money is more important than your pet we had our dog since he was six months old , he is the sweetest boy and I would do anything for him when I try to make some kind of Payment arrangement They wouldn’t even hear of it, & treated me like I was some scum off the street!!!! not only was my dog really hurt. I had a puppy that was hurt as well. I had wound on my hands as well. Nobody deserves this kind of treatment. Nobody deserves to have to make a decision to put their dog down because of the cost after the traumatic incident, I took both my fur babies home and ended up taking them to their regular vet not only were they kindhearted and considerate but they cared about my fur baby the total price for everything that they have done so far has come out to $1,400. I don’t know what this emergency was thinking, but all their staff must’ve been high, the experience was the worst I have ever encountered again and I pray nobody uses this place and I pray to God that they get shut down because money shouldn’t come before any pet and nobody should talk to anybody without any empathy of what they are going through! No one should have to make decisions under that much stress! when it comes to our pets!!!!!!!!!!!!! They're family! And should be treated as such!!!!!!!

Sadly we had to have our precious family cat laid to rest. The staff was absolutely reassuring and gave me time to understand all of the decisions. We went into a really relaxing room and the staff could not have been more supportive. The cost of their services was also reasonable when compared. I hope the staff stays strong with this difficult job of helping our fur babies.

READ THIS BEFORE BRINGING YOUR PRECIOUS PET TO THIS HOSPITAL. This is the worst single experience I ever had at any hospital- human or animal. They will place you in a room for hours and not give any updates. I spent six hours in a room after being the FIRST person there. I am not naive, I know that emergencies take precedence- but 6 hours when my animal is also sick is absolutely unacceptable. They have 1 doctor on staff, ONE. If the amount of work is so insurmountable that you let people spend 6+ hours in a room with their pet, how on Earth do you neglect hiring on another doctor? When you talk to the woman at the front, she is unreasonably unkind about asking for time updates. It is clear that she is very used to telling people they will have to sit with their sick pet for 6+ hours. In the end, I spent my entire day off at this location and my pet never got seen. I ended up asking for my money back and went somewhere else. If you are actually worried about your pet, under no circumstance should you bring them to this location.
