Friendly staff… from the front desk, to the vet assts, to the vets. I’ve felt they were all knowledgeable and caring. They treated all three of my kitties with TLC. Additionally I received great advice from the vet regarding integrating a rescue kitty with my other two kitties. It’s a work in progress, but we’re getting there. Thank you Tarpon Animal Hospital! I highly recommend their service.
I am so thankful that I came to this clinic. Initially we ended up here one morning bc of an emergency with my older dog. They were all so amazing and Dr. Abbate was so patient and checked on us more times than I could count, until my guy had improved and we could go home. I've now taken 4 of my 5 (only bc he's not needed it yet) animals there since then. Dr. Rhodes is also very kind and patient, and they talk through decisions with you so you know what's going on and can do what's best for your animals. I can't say enough about all the staff, they're always welcoming, kind, professional, and I trust them with my babies.
Was seen promptly and very well taken care of. All questions answered and Carrie is feeling much better! Best veterinarian around!!
About 2 months ago I call tarpon springs animal hospital ask them how much it would be to put my cat to sleep she's 15 years old and was starting to have kidney failure, I believe it was the receptionist that told me between 350 and $400 I was shocked I said okay that seems pretty high thank you but no thank you. I googled what is the average price to put a cat to sleep in different cities. In Manhattan New York it cost between $100 and $200. That seems reasonable considering everything is expensive in New York but why would it be almost double in tarpon springs Florida? So I called back tarpon springs animal hospital and told the woman that little fact of how much it cost to put a cat to sleep in Manhattan New York. She said well I don't set the prices the doctor does. Okay doctor don't you think that is a little outrageous? I can only imagine what your other prices are while the cats are alive. I ended up taking my cat to dog patch Lane where the animal services are. It cost me $36 to have her put to sleep They gave her back to me wrapped in nice blanket they were very courteous and caring. I think pretty much the general population around here has $36 to put their loved animal to sleep not $350 to $400. I think you need to get in the real world and be a little bit more compassionate with people instead of having to make that boat payment
I have currently been located in Holiday for 3 going on 4 years. This vet office takes really good care of my fur baby. Dr. Abate definitely has his patients' best interests in mind when recommending treatment. He has never steered me wrong with what's best for my baby, and I really appreciate that as a dog mom. I would highly recommend this office to anyone who asks. BTW, my fur baby has all the girls in the office under his spell. Picture included for reference.
