We did the 2 week stay n train program with Joe and Viviana for our newly acquired puppy that we had no experience with. I did a fair amount of research for strictly positive reinforcement training and found the Bark Stop. Even prior to committing, Joe provided ample resources and tips to help us with the process. When we decided to go through with the training, Joe walked us through the process and explained in detail how it would work. During the two week period, we received multiple videos and pictures daily on our puppy’s progress, showing his responsiveness to commands and the socialization skills he was learning. He is fully potty trained as well thanks to their tips. I can’t stress enough how receptive Joe and Viviana were to our questions and concerns. At the end of the training our puppy had picked up so many new skills that we were unable to teach. It made the transition much easier for us. Joe spent additional time to go through the ins and outs of what to do at home, and is still in touch to date to answer any questions we have as our puppy is not perfect! We even utilize Viviana’s full day play sessions to date, which has provided additional socialization and reinforced training. I can confidently say that if you send your puppy for training and continue to practice at home when your puppy returns, you will be thrilled. These are great folks to work with.
We did the 12 mastery sessions with our little guy and it was truly the best thing we could’ve done for him. In this journey, Joe has been an amazing trainer and now amazing friend. He truly is a person who cares and loves to teach! Joe has given us so much insight to our dogs behaviors and helped us on how we can improve as owners throughout training! He is very detail oriented with our training notes, very honest (which we highly valued), and flexible with scheduling. We were able to take our little guy basically everywhere with confidence in the skills Joe has taught us & him as well. I will be 100000% recommending to everyone for training sessions with Joe at the bark stop. It’s seriously the best thing you can do for your pup and yourself.
Joe helped train our miniature dachshund puppy, Frankie, a few weeks after we got him until he graduated from puppy training at 8 months. We feel so beyond lucky to have had Joe as our go to resource from the start. He took away any anxiety we had about our brand new 3lb puppy, which allowed us to just enjoy our time with Frankie and have fun with him! That continued throughout all of the trainings and time in between. Joe has been a constant support system for us through all of the ups and downs with raising a puppy. Whether we were going through a tough moment of potty training, learning new commands, or socializing Frankie, Joe made the experience not as daunting as it felt and allowed us to just have fun and enjoy the process. Not only that, Joe is the best guy, super funny, and just genuinely cares about all of his clients and the dogs he works with. Even though we don’t have puppy class scheduled on our calendars anymore, we will forsure be calling Joe because we already miss him and Frankie of course does too! Thank you, Joe, for helping raise our puppy into a social, fun, sweet dog that listens to the commands you taught us and is able to go anywhere with us without question. We LOVE the Bark Stop and would recommend it to everyone!! ❤️
Joe is an amazing dog trainer. He’s very kind and patient, not only with our 10 month old puppy, but also with us as new dog parents. We did the 4 (1hr) sessions. Through very clear and consistent communication with Joe, we were able to schedule each session at different locations : a home setting, the park and Target ! Definitely recommend! 🐶
Joe does an amazing job in guiding dog owners while also simultaneously training your pup! When you spend time with Joe, you can really see his dedication and passion for dog training in everything he says and does. While I had built a solid foundation for my puppy at a young age, I brought her to joe just to see where I can improve as a dog owner. We did 4 sessions when she was 3-4 months old, where I learned so much on how I can tweak my own training methods for my pup. We then brought her again for a 1 week stay n train when her teenage phase begun at around 9 months, as a refresher and tackling certain concerns I had in terms of her obedience. Joe was extremely attentive, helpful and engaging during her stay n train! We received updates almost constantly throughout the day, along with videos and photos. Having a German shepherd means they love order and consistency, and Joe did exactly that! I would recommend Joe to anyone as long as they’re willing to learn and dedicate their time into their pup!
